Description:

Augusta Engineering developed the project scope write-up working with the client and also provided the engineering, design and construction support services to complete an electrical rebuild of Wellington Compressor Station.

The project consisted of the design and installation of a new structural steel Auxiliary/ Generator building, a new 4 KV electrical service and associated switchgear, new 480-Volt and 208-Volt Motor Control Centers, a new emergency generator, a new 24-Volt DC power system and new control panels for the station as well as the generator and air compressor units.

The project included upgrades to station interior and exterior lighting; electrical panels were also upgraded in various buildings. A cable tray system with the associated support structures was also introduced and installed in the facility, in lieu of typical underground conduit. The overhead cable tray system also provided capacity for future projects.

Electrical improvements and/ or rewiring were completed for all buildings at the facility. Fiber optic cable was run throughout the plant to provide an Ethernet Local Area Network (LAN) for the station control system.
