Description:

Augusta Engineering provided engineering, design, procurement and construction support services to install a 4000 HP electric motor-driven natural gas compressor in an existing facility.

Along with the compressor and associated building, new gas coolers, filter separator and fire detection systems were specified and installed. The state-of-the-art fully automated addition included Bristol Babcock PLC control equipment and Intellusion FIX operator interface.

In addition to the horsepower addition, a limited electrical rebuild was engineered and designed to provide the 2160-Volt supply to the motor and to consolidate electric service entrances.
