Description:

Augusta has been Marathon Ashland Petroleum’s firm of choice for concrete and steel engineering design for the last three years. Augusta is currently in the process of working on Marathon’s 2005 Platform Project.

The 2005 Platform Project work consists of engineering and designing 73 structural steel access platforms. Augusta has four designers from the Civil/ Structural Group and one Project Manager assigned to the job which is expected to run for a period of seven months.

MAP’s Access Platform Program provides safety for its employees for egress and ingress in case of an emergency. The project work performed has provided ease in accessing: valves for isolation, areas requiring environmental sampling and access to areas of inaccessibility due to facility growth.
