The engineering contract for the Aldicarb Control Systems Upgrade stipulated that Augusta Engineering & Design, Inc. has a potential bonus and/or penalty of $15,000 based on the quality of work and schedule performance of the work.

According to Stan Cooper, Bayer's Engineering Manager, Augusta's performance on this project was outstanding. The work was completed in a way that allowed the construction contractor to complete the aggressive project schedule early. The quality of the work was excellent, as there was very little field re-work due to engineering quality and start-up and operation of the Aldicarb control system was excellent.

From the $15,000 potential bonus an initial bonus payment of $10,000 was given to Augusta earlier. Of the $15,000 bonus Augusta received 98% ($14,700) of the total bonus due to Augusta's near perfect performance.
