Automation & Control System

Our Automation & Control System Integration Group works independently on SCADA only type projects or as a part of an Augusta project team with other engineering disciplines on larger total plant projects. We work closely with the client to determine and define the scope of the automation required for the project. After the scope is complete, we then specify the equipment, develop the system architecture, and program or configure the equipment to perform the desired automated functions.

Our goal is to provide solutions, which enable our Clients to automate previously manual functions, and to increase profitability through reduced labor costs, or increases in efficiency or throughput of the process. We can develop a new computer monitoring network or integrate a new system into a client’s existing computer monitoring network.

Our Automation & Control Systems Integration Group can provide any or all of the following services:

  • PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Bristol-Babcock)
  • MMI / HMI programming and configuration (Wonderware, Intellution, Iconics)
  • System architecture and network design
  • Safety system design
  • Process control strategies and algorithms
  • Control panel design and layout
  • Computer and Instrument equipment specification
  • CAD drawings: schematics, I/O layout, panel layout, P&ID
  • Telemetry system design and planning (licensed radio and spread spectrum)
  • Start up and commissioning support
  • Control system maintenance contracts
