Augusta Engineering & Design, Inc. is a West Virginia Corporation located in South Charleston, WV, U.S.A. The corporation was formed in February of 2000 with 12 full time employees. We currently employ over 130 full-time and contract employees and continue to grow at a manageable level. Augusta is a full-service engineering and design firm offering a comprehensive list of services such as consulting, project management, technical assistance and training. During the 2006 year Augusta Engineering & Design, Inc. became the parent company of Augusta Construction Services, Inc. Augusta Construction Services (ACS) specializes in providing automation and electrical installation construction including: field installation, shop construction and field services.

Augusta specializes in providing services to the natural gas, chemical/process and power/electric industries throughout the Eastern United States. We lease 19,500 square feet on the second and third floors of South Charleston’s Plaza IV Building. Our employment currently consists of 7 project managers, 41 engineering personnel (15 registered P.E.'s and 1 with PhD), 46 design and drafting staff, 14 support staff, 3 business development/marketing representatives, 15 ACS employees and 5 engineering interns. We cover all disciplines of engineering and design, including: Automation, Chemical Process, Mechanical, Electrical Power, Control Systems, Civil/Structural, Piping/ Pipeline, Compressor/Equipment, Purchasing/Materials Mgt., etc. We have 32 senior and lead engineers, of whom have work experience averaging 35+ years and most are considered experts in their fields. It is this level of expertise that makes us excel in the front end scope development projects which require innovative process engineering and equipment selection skill sets. From there we easily move into the detail design phases with a full staff of designers in all disciplines.

Many of our clients are Fortune 500 companies, including: Columbia Gas Transmission, Equitable Production, Bayer Polymers, DOW Chemical, Clearon Corporation, Bayer CropScience, South Carolina Pipeline, Degussa, Dominion Transmission, Marathon Ashland and CNX Gas Corporation. Roughly 55% of our work involves Natural Gas clientele, 35% is related to the Chemical and Petrochemical industries and 10% pertains to non-traditional services for Utilities and Infrastructure companies.

Our revenue has increased steadily from $2.7 million in 2000 to $4.2 million in 2004 and an estimated $8.5 million for 2006. This level of growth is manageable and maintainable and has continued into 2007. We also have the ability to attain additional resources through our relationship with several technical placement companies.
